Chess Nights

Local Chess Nights - Summer 2018      
 
Come and join us at our free chess nights!  All ages (children, teens and adults) are welcome to attend.  Beginners are welcome to learn how to play.  Intermediate and advanced players are welcome to learn more about checkmates, tactics, strategy and openings.  Everyone is welcome to come to play casual games.

This fall we are meeting 3-4 times each month for chess play and instruction.  See locations & times on the schedule below.  Chess nights are generously sponsored by the Kenosha Public Library, Antioch Public Library, and Salem Community Library.
                                                                       
First Wednesday of each month:  Casual chess at the Kenosha Southwest Library from 6:30 to 8:00 pm for children and adults.  Adult supervision is required for children under 9 years of age.  Free!  Instruction is provided.  The address is 7979 - 38th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53142.

Second Tuesday of each month:  Chess & Cookies at the Antioch Public Library, Antioch, Illinois, 6:30 to 8 pm.  Enjoy free cookies and drinks, casual chess and instruction.  For kids and adults.  The address is 757 Main St. Antioch, IL 60002.  Adult supervision is required for children under 7 years of age.

Third Wednesday of each month:  Casual chess at the Kenosha Southwest Library from 6:30 to 8:00 pm for children and adults.  Adult supervision is required for children under 9 years of age.  Free!  Instruction is provided.  The address is 7979 - 38th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53142.

Fourth Tuesday of each month:  Casual chess at the Salem Community Library from 6:30 to 7:45 pm for children and adults.  Adult supervision is required for children under 9 years of age.  Free!  Instruction is provided.  The address is 24615 89th St, Salem, WI 53168.

Planned activities are subject to change.  Please check back on this site one day prior to the event to confirm.  In the event of inclement weather, we will follow the KUSD policy for cancellations.  KUSD weather cancellations will be announced at www.kusd.edu .
